If you or your child are sick, please do not attend a Parenting in Ottawa drop-in. You may call the Ottawa Public Health Information Centre at 613-PARENTS (613-727-3687) for further guidance.
Do you have questions about your baby? Want to know if your child is on track? Do you have questions about your child's growth and development? We are here to help.
The Parenting in Ottawa drop-ins are located across the City of Ottawa. Speak, in person, with a Public Health Nurse about parenting.
- Get support for infant feeding
- Learn ways to help your child eat healthy and be active
- Make sure your child is on track with their growth and development
- Ask about your child's social and emotional development
The program is available to:
- Expectant parents, parents and guardians of children aged birth to six years of age
No appointment necessary, simply drop-in during the clinic's hours. Clinics are closed on statutory holidays unless otherwise specified.
Please note:
- Parenting in Ottawa drop-ins do not offer health exams and do not replace a visit to a primary care provider (doctor or nurse practitioner).
- Consultations with a Public Health Nurse may be limited to 15-20 minutes.
Notice of changes: Starting the week of September 11th, 2023, the drop-in at the Beaverbrook OPL will take place on Wednesdays.
